Last day in Jaislamar
Hello Hello!
This morning we woke up, after sleeping in our very comfortable abode, and headed upstairs to have a breakfast of omelets and tea. India has an abundant amount of eggs I have to say. Every breakfast place we have been too so far has a plethora of items made with eggs, and a wide selection of ways the eggs are prepared.
After breakfast we headed to walk around Jaislamar and explore the wonderful things it held for us. We first went to a Jade temple, it was beautiful. The Jade temple is for the Jade religion, which is somewhat similar to the Christian religion. Where they believe that there is one God, and many prophets. However they worship these prophets, where as Christians do not worship the prophets of God. They also believe that when you die you are dead, there is no afterlife and no rebirth, so live the best life you can.
After this we went to a German bakery on the way down to meet our driver. Where we ordered three chocolate croissants, because why not! We then headed down the hill to meet our driver to go to a lake to boat. The lake wasn’t anything super special but it was nice relaxation time. We also saw a Haveli, which is a building built to display the wealth and power of a person in the old days. It was a beautiful home, but overcrowded with a HUGE Indian tour group. But that’s ok.
Following all of that we went shopping! My favorite part of the day! I bought a couple things here and there, and it was definitely worth it! Then we went to the hotel for a traditional Indian dinner (minus Riley’s dish which was pasta) and it was very delicious. Mine was a curry with potatoes and I couldn’t imagine the amount of spices, but I’m sure it was a ton!! It was very good though.
We then hung out with the boy who runs the place and his friend. We showed them pictures of where we lived and our friends and family. And then we showed them filters for you face! And they were very amused by them. It was quite funny. Then we were off to bed ready to head to the dessert tomorrow morning
