Last day in India
Hello hello!
We begin our last day in India by eating breakfast at the buffet they provided. Which had noodles, fries, porridge, omelets, French toast, cereal, fruit, and juice. It was pretty good actually! After that we left to use the last little bit of time we had to tour Delhi.
We first got henna! And it was just on the side of the road, so it was very cold. It’s crazy the temperature difference from Alleppey to Delhi. I definitely liked the heat better, which is going to make going back to Denver pretty bad :))
After that we found a tuk tuk and headed for old Delhi to look at the spice market. However our driver said that the market was not open because it is usually open in the morning. And it was the afternoon by the time we arrived there. But we still walked around Old Delhi and explored the wonderful people and things there. Each row of shops had one specific set of items they sell down those aisles. For example wedding decorations, food, saris, jewelry, and much more. It was fascinating. However extremely crowded!!
After this we made our way back to the hotel so that we could pack a little before going to find dinner. Because by this time it was around 4ish. We kind of just randomly chose a restaurant though because the place we were going to go too was full, so we found this somewhat clean restaurant and prayed for the best (I’ll keep you updated). The food was good though! The service not some much, there was this really creepy guy that worked at the restaurant that would just consistently stare, it wasn’t like looking over occasionally it was like full on stand and stare! It was a little sketchy.
The taxi comes to take us back to the airport at 8:30! Hopefully we make it all the way, tsa is supposedly closed in Atlanta where we have a tight connection as it is, so pray that we make it for our flight back to DIA!!
As sad as I am to leave I cannot wait to get home to see everyone and sleep in my bed ;)) Now for a 30ish hour flight to Denver!
