Time is Flying

Hello!
Wow time is flying! Well, we are staying in a very interesting hotel let me just tell you. The pillows are extremely hard, and I’m pretty sure the bedding hasn’t been washed in about a year. The bathroom is literally pink, there are 47 light switches in this room, however there is still barely light. The shower. Oh the shower! Well it doesn’t work...so I took a shower with a bucket and a faucet, i mean at least the water was a little warm. But it was in a great location and the food was really good so I guess you have to look at the good and the bad.

After a breakfast of toast and tea we headed for yet another fort. However this fort was absolutely gorgeous! The inside was more like a palace then a fort, and almost unexplainable. There were rooms with painted flowers, mosaic tiles, and stained glass windows. And the views from the windows and balconies where breathtaking. The tour was about an hour long, which was prefect, because any more I probably would have not liked, since the layout of the tour was a lot like walking through a museum.

Following the fort, we went to a temple, I can remember for which god, but it was also beautiful. And a good getaway from the busy streets of Jodhpur. We also went to some gardens which were also beautiful, minus the monkeys that wondered around the gardens casually. We met some really cute little kids theta where practicing some English on us, and they were adorable.

We headed back to our hotel and went to walk around the city. This city is very beautiful, and it’s surprising how friendly all the people are. Everyone will give you a smile or a wave, after staring at you for a couple seconds of course. Our skin color is like an eye magnet, it makes sense but after a while it gets kind of annoying.

Since it is New Years here we went out to dinner at a rooftop bar. They where setting up their music to have a huge party! They had a dj, and lights, and two huge speakers. Their party was going to be crazy cool. So we ate quickly and escaped to our room, to sleep. Since we don’t really party. And my parents don’t stay up late. So that was our day, very busy, but fun! Happy New Years to you all!
