Kayaking
Hi!
As I said yesterday, we woke up extremely early this morning, because we had to be mostly packed up to go to the airport along with packing all the things we need for kayaking today. And soon enough at 6 in the morning we were off. However the other person didn’t show up until around 6:45ish so we ended up standing there on the street, while the neighbors music blared so loud I couldn’t hear myself think!
But soon enough we were on our way. Mom sat in the back (which is the part that controls the steering) of our double kayak. And let’s just say she was not good at it, we did a couple circles at points, and it was just terrible. So when we stopped to get some tea, we traded places. Oh yah! We stopped to get tea, we rowed up to this little restaurant and they took our orders and gave us it, in the kayak (this is also where we ended up eating breakfast too). I got a Chai tea and it was really good! And soon we were off again. And we rowed and rowed and rowed some more. And I was sooooooooo tired. But it’s ok we got breakfast!
For breakfast we had egg curry and rice patties. And it was delicious! I love the breakfast here. It’s a lot healthier then the cereals and waffles (which are still really good!) we eat back at home. And I really like it, and I think even Riley has taken a liking too it. Thankfully after breakfast a boat took us back to the starting point so that we didn’t have a row!! We then said thank you and took a tuk tuk back to the hotel to shower before we had to check out.
We checked out at 11:30 and then went to get lunch at restaurant on the beach, the food was ok not anything special but not terrible. Granted I got pasta so I guess I should keep that in mind. After lunch we went back to the hotel and headed for the airport. Our flight is 3 hours to Delhi and then we have a day in Delhi and then home. Our trip is quickly coming to an end which is both good and bad. I am soooooo ready to be home, but not quite done exploring this fascinating country.
