Zip Lines and water falls

Today we headed off after eating a wonderful breakfast of fruit, bread, and some kind of meat banana thing. We first headed off to the water falls to hike around and then go to the zip lines.

First we took a taxi from our hotel to the cable car, the cable car was scary because of how high up it was, but the view was amazing and it felt like you were flying. It was open so there was only some small railings on the sides to hold us in. The ride was only about 5 minutes maximum but it felt like 1, and a quick as that we were on the ground again.

The water falls were beautiful but it took a while to get there. The first one we went to was about an hour each way, and was breathtaking. It was huge, it had a stairway up the middle of the first fall up to the second fall. The nice thing too was there were no people they all were at work, since it was a Monday.

Then we took the hour hike back to were the cable car dropped us off and decided to go visit the other water fall, but this hike was only 15 minutes down hill, but you know what that means uphill all the way back. This waterfall wasn't as special you could swim in this one though, we didn't because a hole bunch of kids had just arived. It was small but beautiful and would have been fun to swim in now that I think about it. I think I have a major people problem, I don't like to be around big crowds of people, especially at pools, I am so weird.

Anyways after this we went to the zip line place. This was the best part of our day. Our group was small, there was only one other couple in our group not including our two guides. There were 10 stations, and number 8 and 10 are the fastest. So fast in fact, that you have to wear special gloves just so that you can put one hand behind your head on the wire so you go a little slower. This was literally the best part of my day.

After this we headed off to eat some dinner and spend the rest of the night relaxing. Since tonight Riley gets to pick the dinner* we went to a nice restaurant down the street from our hotel. It was very good, and I think she made a great choice.

After dinner we took showers made some pasta for a late night snack, and a heading to bed after a long day of uphill climbing, swinging like Tarzan across the jungle, and enjoying a nice bowl of hot pasta on the hammock.

Miss you all,

See you in 4 days Colorado!

*It was Riley's birthday dinner, each year when it is close to our birthday we get to pick somewhere to have a dinner/lunch at. Even though it was not quite Riley's birthday yet, we have to celebrate it in Mindo because there are not many restaurants in Pifo were we will be on her birthday.
