Villages
Today we went and saw what they call the indigenous villages. Where they show you how things are made, or just what things are made in that town. We went to four major towns, of which I do not know the names.
The first one is a cloth weaving village, where they actually showed us how it is made and how they get the different colors. They got the different colors by taking a piece of a plant, and mixing it around with some lemon juice to make it red, then baking soda to make it purple. Many other ingredients were used to color the piece of plant, and it was very fascinating.
The next village we were supposed to stop at was the hat making town. But that didn't work out so well, we reached the place, and the sign said open but there was no one there and the doors were closed and locked. So we kept moving.
The next one was wood making there we didn't get to see how they made the wood, but all they sold in all of the shops was wood, wood furniture, wood pictures, wood mirrors, everything was wooden. It was my favorite because actually the wooden stuff wasn't too over priced.
The final town/village was leather making. This one also we didn't get to actually see them making it, but you could definitely tell that it was made in that town because most of this stuff you would find no were else in the world. We also had lunch there, and of course we had cow, we actually went to a place that's name was Fat Cow, that was the name of the restaurant. It was extremely good too.
After that we headed home to rest before dinner, for dinner we went back to Taco Bello. After dinner we walked around a little and then headed back to our hotel room to start packing up for the 4 hour drive we have to Mindo tomorrow.
