Puno

Sorry I am just posing this today; I had a really bad headache last night. Anyways we flew into Puno at 12:45. Grabbed our bags and meet our taxi driver outside. We then reached our hotel by 2:00, we decided that we wanted to walk around and explore Puno. So we did just that. We were so hungry when we got into Puno that we immediately went to find food. After long and complicated arguments we finally decided on a place with at set menu and 3 courses.

We recived the first course with our drinks within 10 minutes of being there. This first course was a chicken soup with noodles, it was absolutely amazing!! Unfortunately right after the first course Riley said she was fully stuffed. This was a problem because she sill had 2 course coming. The second course came out, and I received a chicken and rice plate (I don't even know why I choose chicken considering I get chicken at home 24/7.) Dad got Alpaca meat and rice, and Riley got pesto pasta. It was really really really good.

The last thing the waiter brought us was dessert, it was an ice crepe. Yes, I know we aren't in France but the only other option was chocolate cake, and I an not a chocolate cake fan. After a filling dinner we went shopping. I swear every shop had some kind of alpaca item. These Alpaca's are shaved for making hats, socks, shirts, pants, gloves, bags, purses, shoes, scarves, books, stuffed animal Alpaca's, and tooth brushes. Just kidding. I found a beautiful purple book bag for school, but I haven't decided it I am going to get it. And Riley found an Alpaca fur journal, and a metal Alpaca trinkit.

After this we were all exhausted, so we headed back to our room. This room is literally the squishiest room you have ever seen; pictures below. It was cozy but cold, the bathroom was bright orange and the shower was alweful. I was going to take a shower and I turn the knob that had an "H" on it, but the water was absolutely freezing. I waited for 15 minutes to see if it would warm up but it didn't!! Finally my dad looked up what hot and cold were in Spanish. I can't remember what the words were exactly but I know that the word for hot had a "C" at the beginning. So I turned the "C" lever on and it finally got warm, but then it started to burn. The water went from warm to extreamly hot. What?! In conclusion this shower has many issues, and I am glad we are not staying there tonight. I miss all of you so much!! I you leave me a comment below, email, or text me, I will get get you something from the market we are going to soon. Talk to you tomorrow.
