Ecuador

Yay! We received 5 hours of sleep. I am not actually that tired, but it was good to get some sleep. Today we got to explore around Quito and our hotel. Since we arrived so early this morning we really didn't have much time to look around. It is a BIG hotel, and probably the nicest I have ever stayed in. There are two beds with a desk, a TV, a mini bar, a closet, a bathroom, and a coffee maker. It is very nice, although I am not sure about the butlers. They follow you around helping you with everything. When we arrived this morning there was food and drinks on a small table near the desk, Riley wanted some so went over to the table, and over came a butler pouring her a drink and handing her a piece of bread. It was very strange.

When I woke up I went to go take a shower, the shower head was on the ceiling, and the shower was so big, I swear you could fit at least 10 maybe 15 people in there. After a shower and a little bit of Spanish TV we headed to lunch. I was really craving a salas, so we headed to Subway. It was a good lunch but for four people with drinks a chips and a cookie, it was quite expensive.

We walked around Quito today and really that's all we did. We had to stop at a general store for some nesssesary items, such as chocolate. By the time we got out of the general store in was raining cats and dogs! It was like DC all over again (when we were at DC it was raining really hard and we had to walk all the way back to our hotel, and each time a car passed we were splashed, we were drenched by the time we got home).

It was still sprinkling when we headed to a church then up the street to a small toy shop were Riley purchased a toy. After the toy shop we were all hungry and tired so we caught a cab back to our hotel to get some dinner. For dinner we went to this Chinese/Japanese/Mongolian place, which is kind of like Mongolian BBQ if any of you have ever been to one. But here you pick what kind of pasta or rice you want some meat a sauce and maybe some extra topping if you want. Then the cook it up with some vegetables and serve it to you hot and fresh.

In conclusion it has been a relaxing day, tomorrow we head to another place in Ecuador that I don't know the name because my mom is sleeping so I can't ask her. Anyways miss you,
