Jaipur
Hello!
Sorry for the lack of posting, the last hotel had terrible Wi-Fi so I couldn’t really post. Anyways, day 4 our our trip began with breakfast and then off to see the Amber fort.
Upon arriving at the fort (with a lot less traffic then the day before) we saw elephants and still lots of people walking up the stairs in order to get to the fort, considering the time of day. The fort was beautiful and HUGE, we walked around for about two hours and were sure that we still didn’t see everything. There were so many little corridors, hallways, and staircases, it was like a giant maze. Also we found that this fort was made for smaller people, because there were a lot of overhangs that came pretty close to your head.
Update on boyfriend number, Riley has 13 and I have 18, as of the end of today.
After the fort, we went to a bizarre (or a market), this market was pretty interesting, due to the abstract colors lining the shop windows and the unique patterns that the dresses and pants held. I did end up buying two pairs of baggy black pants that my mother thinks look like pajamas, but I like them. I forgot how much you get get the price down on things and bargain, obviously it’s been a while...
After this we went back to the city palace area to find some henna, and we did! Riley and mom both got some on their arms and I got it on my ankle, because I wanted to get it on my arm later. So we did that, and mom met a new best friend, who really wanted her to buy something from his shop. She did not.
Following that we went back to the hotel to eat and start packing our stuff up a little bit, because we are leaving tomorrow. Dad started to feel a little sick, so he didn’t eat much for dinner, but we ate a dinner of mostly other countries cuisine: pizza, pade thai, and an omelet for mom. The food was actually really good!
Dinner being over we headed downstairs, and I went to bed at 8 o’clock because I’m pretty sure I’m still not used to the time difference, we will get there though.
