The a Emperors tombs

Image
Today I woke up to the sound of Riley singing "Good morning good morning it's time to rise'n shine." And so after that we went to have a breakfast, of so many different things it's hard to name them all. After Breakfast we met a tour guide and he took us to see the tombs of the 12th Emperor, the 4th Emperor, and the 6th Emperor of Vietnam. While we where in the 6th Emperors tomb, we dressed up like princesses and our Dad took pictures all for three dollars (there are pictures below)! The tombs of all the Emperors were very big they had elaborate pictures panted or carved into the walls The 4th and 6th Emperors even had a lake with magnificent colors. After that we went to see a pagoda, not the best (but maybe that's because I've seen so many already). So our day goes on as we head into the night, but now I have to say goodbye and talk to ya soon. The Citadel

Image
Today we took a very short plane ride to Hue (pronounced hue- way). Then a driver came to pick us up and take us to the hotel. Once we finally reached the hotel room we were exhausted, but after putting everything away we went out for lunch and to go to the citadel. What is the citadel you may ask??? Well, it is a place where in the olden days was the Emperors palace cool right??? Well anyways we started walking to the citadel when I had the idea to take cyclos (cyclos are bikes that have a seat in the front of them so people can ride on them). We also took the cyclos back to the hotel to rest till dinner. After a dinner of pasta, and fried spring rolls, we went pretty much straight to bed except, while my Dad was trying to plug something in, he blow a fuse, and the front desk man was sent up to fix it, and when he finally did we all went to bed. Last day on the boat

This morning we awoke to the sound of our alarm going " Bing Bing Bing!!!!" "Breakfast!!!" I said as I raced Riley to get dressed. For breakfast we had sausages, egg something, tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelon, bananas, and toast. Then we arrived at the coolest place, it was a .............floating town. That meant that all the houses and stores and stuff were floating. After that, we went to a place that made pearls (this place was floating as well). If you were like me I didn't know anything about pearls, or how they made pearls, or even that they made pearls!!!! Well, here's the scoop, they first find the oysters, and then they pry it open a little bit, and put medicine into it, why??? Because the pearls aren't real until, they put in the medicine, and put it back into the water for two years. After two years they take it back out, and pry it open all the way cut the skin and grab the pearl. Then voila there is a pearl. Now, you may ask what do they

Cruise ship

Image
All day long, all night long, spending where? ON A CRUISE SHIP!!!!!!!!!! We are spending two days and one night on a ship, a Cruise ship!!!!! This morning we went on a long bus drive ( at least not with my friend, "The crazy driver".) It was four hours long, but it actually went quite quickly. When we finally got on the cruise ship, we had a welcoming drink ( pineapple juice. ) Then we went to our cabins, our parents are next door to us, and our cabin is wonderful. It has two beds, a closet, a bathroom, and a very nice view out of the window. Then to lunch, for lunch we had, rice, chicken, fish, veggies ( like, carrot, salad, cucumbers, you name it ) we also had fruit for dessert. Then we went to the beach to relax, and kayaking, and sadly that went really fast. Then we, ( Riley and I) took a shower before our ten course meal. For dinner we had crab, fish, fruit, spring rolls, oysters, shrimp, rice, chicken, and clam. Then after dinner we went to bed. Last day of Sapa/Cat Cat Village

Image
Today was our last day in Sapa, so we went to another village. This village was called the "Cat Cat" village. In the "Cat Cat" village we saw how they make earrings, and stone carvings. We also saw plenty of Water Buffalo's and a waterfall.  Then we all got really hungry, so we went to lunch. For lunch, I had fried rice ( not the best.) We also had ice cream ( also not the best.)  Finally, we where off to walk around the town until 4:30ish, when we returned to the "Sapa Eden Hotel". As we sat in the lobby of the hotel we played and waited for the "Fastest Driver Ever." Finally he arrived (no! "Sobbing") and we got into the car. The beginning of the ride wasn't that bad, but as we got farther down he started going SUPER DUPER FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As we reached the train station, we quickly got out of the car, and gave a sigh of relief. Then, on to the overnight train, and to the hotel in the morning.  Sincerely, Tarađź’— The stone

Sapa day two

Today we went to the Black Hmong village, there we saw a school, how they make incense, and also the rice patties. The school was so cool-they where playing games outside and the girls where playing hopscotch. What is interesting, is only half of your children go to school. So if you had eight children only four of them would go to school. Then we saw how to make incense, it was pretty cool, they would first make the incense base, which consisted of cinnamon, leaves, and wood. Then they would place it into molds at press together, then open, and out comes the incense. They would let it air dry then poof-there is your incense. The rice patties where amazing, they where everywhere: down the hills, up the hills and all over the hills. But, before we saw all that, we walked, And Walked, AND WALKED, For about two and a half hours before arriving to the Black Hmong village. Also there where these ladies that would follow you all the way down the mountain and be really friendly, but when you
